{"id":11302,"date":"2025-07-15T09:47:18","date_gmt":"2025-07-15T07:47:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cavalliecavalieri.soononline.dev\/?p=11302"},"modified":"2025-07-15T09:47:18","modified_gmt":"2025-07-15T07:47:18","slug":"italian-show-jumping-national-championships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cavalliecavalieri.com\/en\/2025\/07\/15\/italian-show-jumping-national-championships\/","title":{"rendered":"ITALIAN SHOW JUMPING  NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Le Siepi &#8211; Cervia<br\/>17\/20 april 2025<\/strong><\/p><div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div><p style=\"font-size:18px\">The 2025 edition Cervia Italian Show Jumping Championships will be long-remembered. <br\/>Not just because by winning the title of Italian champion Paolo Paini got the first medal of his career, but because he did so riding Casal Dorato, a horse born and bred in Italy.<br\/> And so a Sella Italiano was once again placed in top position a good 18 years after Nadir di San Patrignano won in 2007 with Jerry Smit.<br\/><\/p><p style=\"font-size:18px\">This time, however, Italy\u2019s success in breeding was completed by Excaliburg, placed second with Emilio Bicocchi, and Doha delle Roane, third with Fabio Brotto, who bred him, for an all-Italian podium.<br\/> This had never happened before in the history of the Italian Show Jumping Championships, at least not in the &#8216;modern era&#8217;, i.e. since 1967. <br\/>It was Bicocchi\u2019s 6th medal in an Italian championship, 3 of them gold, while it was Brotto\u2019s 4th after the bronze medal he won in 2021 with Vanit\u00e0 delle Roane, a maternal sister of Doha.<\/p><p style=\"font-size:18px\">Paolo Paini, who throughout he career has always ridden Italian horses, has been riding Casal Dorato for just over two seasons. \u00abIt was love at first sight,\u00bb said the new Italian champion. \u2013 \u00abAs soon as I got into the saddle when I went to try him out, I realised he was special\u00bb. <br\/>And so the Italian bay was acquired by Fabrizia Stefani, Paini&#8217;s partner.<\/p><p style=\"font-size:18px\"><\/p><p style=\"font-size:18px\">Casal Dorato was born in 2015 in Pisa, bred by Norina Santoni and her son Fabio Franchini.
